Careem Food – What did Jordanians order in 2025?
Shawarma continued to lead the scene as the most requested meal in Jordan during 2025, reaffirming its status as the most beloved meal unrivaled.
Careem Food also maintained its leadership in delivery speed, where the fastest orders were registered in:
● Amman: 5 minutes
● Irbid: 8 minutes
● Zarqa: 9 minutes
The year saw significant improvements in the app experience, as Careem launched a new design for product interfaces to facilitate the exploration of restaurants, along with a simplified booking experience that allows completing orders quickly and easily.
In its ongoing efforts to improve customer and captain experience, Careem launched a post-order tipping feature to enhance appreciation values and build a positive relationship between both parties. It also provided a pre-order feature that allows scheduling meal pickups, making it an ideal choice for busy workdays, social occasions, and breakfast meals during Ramadan.
In a behavior reflecting Jordanians' inclination towards comfort within their homes through Careem, one customer ordered 33 meals in one day, while August 7 was the busiest day of the year in terms of orders.
Careem Plus – Real savings throughout the year
The Careem Plus program provided clear value to its users in Jordan during 2025:
● The average monthly savings were 59 Jordanian dinars per subscriber.
● One customer saved 2,050 Jordanian dinars, topping the list of subscribers with the most savings in the program.
● Customers used Careem Plus more for food orders, then rides, while Shops and Dine Out provided additional value to customers relying on them.
The extended subscription periods reflect the growing confidence of customers in the value and benefit of the Careem Plus program.
Careem Shops – Jordan’s new destination for fast shopping
Careem Shops also had an exceptional year, becoming a reliable platform for daily needs:
● Saw growth of 5 times compared to 2024.
● Added new categories: electronics, health and beauty, dietary supplements, and butcheries.
● Joined by major brands such as: Hybermax, People’s Roastery, Seal Buy, T-bone and Cheese, Abu Odeh, Centro, and Nespresso.
● Recorded the fastest delivery in 2.35 minutes.
● March 21 (Mother's Day) was the busiest day of the year, with a noticeable rise in orders at 8 PM.
● One customer made 25 orders in one day on June 24.
Careem Dine Out – Dining out powered by savings
Careem Dine Out continued to enhance dining experiences in Jordan through savings and discovery:
● Buffalo Wings and Rings were the most booked restaurants during the year.
● Recorded the highest bill of 501 Jordanian dinars at Alee restaurant, with savings of 75 dinars through Dine Out.
Careem Rides
● In 2024, trips were completed across Jordan covering a total distance of over 70 million kilometers, enough to circle the globe more than 1700 times!
● Among the most forgotten items during trips were phones, AirPods, and wallets.
● One of the unique items forgotten during a trip in Jordan in 2025 was a music notebook!
