Khaberni  - The Minister of Environment and the head of the steering committee for reducing random waste dumping, Ayman Sulaiman stated that the executive program includes the launch of a special electronic system for environmental violations incorporating the installation of cameras, including 50 in Amman and 250 in other provinces, which will be mobile, explaining that the value of the fines ranges from 50 to 500 dinars.

The executive program is based on four main pillars that address the phenomenon of random waste dumping through a comprehensive system of regulatory, technical, supervisory, and awareness actions, which were designed based on a realistic assessment of needs and challenges in various areas, and it relies on an integrated approach of environmental and developmental policies, establishing principles of sustainability and conservation of resources and improving the quality of life for citizens and reinforcing Jordan's stature as a tourist destination, reducing the cost of waste management and stimulating the circular economy.

He explained during a press conference to launch the program that the national executive program for the strategy of cleaning and reducing random waste dumping for the years 2026–2027, was a response to the increasing environmental challenges associated with the phenomenon of random waste dumping and the financial costs associated with managing it (collection, transport, final disposal) and its negative effects resulting from the accumulation of waste in streets, tourist areas, parks, and public facilities.

He added: The program aims to protect natural resources, reduce soil and water pollution (ground and surface) and protect animal and plant wealth.
