Khaberni - MP Dr. Dima Tahboub posed a parliamentary question to the government, through the presidency of the House of Representatives, regarding the significant increase in company liquidation and delisting requests in Jordan in 2025, which exceeded 31 thousand companies.
Tahboub inquired about the direct reasons that led to this unprecedented figure, the number of companies that actually ceased operations, and the magnitude of job losses, as well as the social impact on unemployment rates, poverty, and family stability.
She also demanded clarification on the proportion of companies classified as small or medium-sized enterprises among those that were liquidated, and whether these actions were regulatory or due to financial difficulties and economic recession.
