Khaberni - Amidst the growing speculation among fans of the Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab, following her disappearance from the public eye regarding her whereabouts and fate, Ashraf Zaki, head of the acting professions in Egypt revealed some details.
Zaki explained during a phone call with the program Al-Hekaya on MBC last night that he met Sherine at her home a few days ago and they sat and talked.
He also confirmed that she is well, but she currently prefers not to go out or interact widely with friends. He stated that she is "not in the mood to go out right now".
He added that he tried to persuade her to go out a little, but she refused, stating that her condition might change later on.
Her children visit her
Furthermore, he mentioned that he is in contact with her, noting that she is not alone at home and "has people with her", and that her children will visit her soon.
Sherine had disappeared from the artistic and media scene, which raised concerns among her audience and fans, while hashtags like "#Where_is_Sherine" and "#Search_for_Sherine" spread on social media.
However, she clarified in a post on her Instagram account last month that she is "fine", denying all the rumors circulating on social media about her deteriorating health.
She described the situation as "silly rumors", threatening to take legal action against those spreading the rumors.
Meanwhile, a source close to the artist previously confirmed that she is suffering from severe depression and is isolated in her home, staying in her room and only interacting with her daughters.
Last year, Sherine had severe disputes with her brother Mohamed that escalated to the filing of a complaint against him, requesting a legal commitment not to interfere with her.
She has also previously faced several emotional crises with her ex-husband Hossam Habib.
