With 3 unprecedented numbers Diaz enters the golden record of the Africa Cup of Nations

Khaberni - Moroccan national team star Brahim Diaz, by scoring a goal against the Cameroon national team in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations 2025, became the first player in the history of the competition to succeed in scoring during his first five knockout stage games, an unprecedented achievement over 67 years of the competition.

With this notable performance, the Real Madrid star has cemented his position as one of the key pillars of the Moroccan team, and a main pillar in leading the attack line of "The Atlas Lions".

Diaz is also the only player, since 57 years, who has managed to score in 5 consecutive matches in a single edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, and he has become the second player to score against five different national teams in one tournament, following Egyptian Mohamed Gedo in the 2010 edition.

By scoring five goals against Comoros, Mali, Zambia, Tanzania, and Cameroon consecutively, Brahim Diaz signs off on an exceptional championship, and emerges as one of the top contenders for the title of the best player in this prestigious African tournament.
