Khaberni - The trading volume in the real estate market in the kingdom increased by 7% last year, recording 7.17 billion dinars compared to the year 2024, according to the Land and Survey Department report.
The trading volume in the real estate market in the kingdom during December last year was 724 million dinars, an increase of 58%, compared with the same month of the year 2024.
The revenues of the Land and Survey Department during last year were 275 million dinars, an increase of 5% compared with the year 2024.
The total real estate sales in the kingdom during last year were 153,060 properties, an increase of 1%, with the sales distributed among (60,721) properties in the capital province at a rate of 40%, and 92,339 properties in the other provinces at a rate of 60%. Real estate sales in the capital province were distributed among 24,683 apartments and 36,038 plots of land, whereas the sales in the other provinces were distributed among 12,247 apartments and 80,092 plots of land.
Among the nationalities of non-Jordanian ownership transactions last year, the Iraqi nationality ranked first with a total of 542 properties, followed by the Saudi nationality with a total of 382 properties, the Syrian nationality in third place with a total of 237 properties, followed by the Palestinian nationality in fourth place with a total of 188 properties, followed by the American nationality in fifth place with a total of 183 properties.
In terms of value, the Iraqi nationality also ranked first with an estimated value of 77 million dinars, accounting for 37% of the estimated value of non-Jordanian ownership transactions.
The number of property ownership transactions by non-Jordanian investors during December last year was 201 properties, a decrease of 20% compared with the same month of the year 2024 and 16% compared with the previous month, including 128 apartments, a decrease of 17%, compared with the same month of the year 2024 and 16% compared with the previous month, and 73 plots of land, a decrease of 25%, compared with the same month of the year 2024 and 17% compared with the previous month, with an estimated value of 15,449,729 dinars, a decrease of 29% compared with the same month of the year 2024 and 36% compared with the previous month: of which 10,051,315 dinars accounted for
65% for apartments. And 5,398,414 dinars accounted for 35% for lands.
