A SixthTier Team Eliminates the Holder of the English FA Cup Title

Khaberni  - Crystal Palace, the holder of the English FA Cup title, said goodbye to the tournament from the third round, after losing 2-1 to Macclesfield, a competitor in the sixth-tier league, on Saturday at the "Moss Rose" stadium.

Macclesfield took the lead in the first half through Paul Dawson (43), before Isaac Buckley added the second goal in the (60th) minute.

Yeremi Pino, a player for Crystal Palace, narrowed the score for the London team in the (90th) minute by scoring a goal from a direct free kick.

Crystal Palace had been crowned champions last season, after defeating Manchester City in the final match.

It is worth noting that John Rooney, the coach of Macclesfield, is the younger brother of Manchester United and English football legend Wayne Rooney.
