Khaberni - A tragic incident occurred in the Helwan district of Cairo, after a woman jumped from the third floor of her home following a severe family dispute over financial spending on online shopping.
Initial investigations revealed that the woman had spent about 30,000 Egyptian pounds on buying clothes through online shopping platforms, which sparked a sharp debate among her family members, and the conflict between her husband and brother escalated into a verbal altercation, before the woman took her tragic decision to jump from her home balcony.
According to local media, an Egyptian security source stated that the woman sustained injuries and multiple fractures in various parts of her body, and was immediately transported to the hospital to receive urgent medical care, amidst a critical condition that requires precise monitoring from doctors.
Egyptian security forces indicated that the investigations include summoning family members to hear their statements, interrogating eyewitnesses, and analyzing nearby surveillance camera footage to accurately document the details of the incident.
The security source confirmed that the incident highlights the domestic tensions linked to excessive spending and online shopping, and how daily pressures can lead to sudden decisions that may result in tragic outcomes.
