Khaberni - Hussein Boolad, head of the Al-Hashemiya Municipality Committee, announced the precautionary closure of both the western and eastern Abu Al-Zighan streets, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to ensure the safety of citizens and their properties.
He stated that the municipality continues intensive fieldwork, in cooperation with all partner entities, to address the impacts of rain and floods in the Abu Al-Zighan area, emphasizing the utmost importance given to the area in dealing with the weather depression.
He noted that the municipality's engineers conducted a technical study on the Wadi Abu Al-Zighan to develop an engineering solution, which will be implemented upon completion of all procedures.
He explained that the municipality's measures included increasing the readiness of teams working around the clock at vital locations, and opening a number of culverts partially to ensure the flow of water.
