Real Madrid loses interest in Upamecano and the player renews with Bayern

Khaberni - The site "Defensa Central" the Spanish, close to the walls of the club "Royal", revealed the details of the final agreement for the French center-back Dayot Upamecano with Bayern Munich, confirming that the player has decided to stay in "Allianz Arena" after Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, refused to meet his significant financial demands.

Astronomical figures in the new contract

The site relayed from the French newspaper "L'Equipe" the details of the contract which will extend until the year 2031, where Upamecano will receive an annual salary of 20 million euros (total), plus a signing bonus of another 20 million euros, bringing the total value of the deal to about 140 million euros.

According to "Defensa Central", the French defender waited until January to see whether Real Madrid would make a similar offer, but the "Royal" club immediately refused the idea upon knowing the costs.

The report clarified that renewing coach Vincent Kompany's contract with Bayern played a crucial role in the player's decision, however, "Defensa Central" indicated that Upamecano has not completely closed the door on Real Madrid; as the new contract includes a release clause worth 65 million euros, activated starting from the summer of 2027, making it a "possible opportunity" in the future if "Royal" decides to pursue him again.
