Khaberni - The Jordanian citizen Adel Al-Shamayleh launched an initiative to establish a league to protect men from women's oppression, during a live broadcast conducted with the activist Dr. Abdul Rahman Al-Shamayleh.
The initiative's founder, retired Adel, linked the establishment of the league to significant violations against men by women, demonstrating this by the high incidence of heart attacks among young married men due to pressures from their wives.
Al-Shamayleh said that the first branch of the league, Khaberni, will be in Al-Shahabiya town in the Karak governorate and then expand to include Jordan.
Al-Shamayleh expected thousands of Jordanian men to join the league, which will focus on restoring the natural rights of husbands.
Furthermore, the initiative's owner demanded the termination of services of all working women to make room for unemployed men.
No immediate reactions to Al-Shamayleh's initiative were issued from women's empowerment and rights advocacy groups in Jordan.
