Under 23 Shabab Overcome Saudi and Revive Their Hopes in the Asian Cup Qualification

Khaberni - The Jordanian under-23 team secured a 3-2 victory against their Saudi counterparts in the match held on Friday at the Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium in Jeddah, within the second round of Group One of the Under-23 Asian Cup.

The Saudi team opened the scoring through Rakan Al-Ghamdi in the 19th minute, but the Shabab strongly rebounded and scored two consecutive goals by Ali Al-Azzayza in the 37th and 45th minutes, before Musab Al-Jawir equalized for Saudi Arabia.

In the second half, Mahmoud Dhib snatched the precious winning goal for Jordan in the 72nd minute, granting the team their first victory in the tournament and keeping their hopes alive for qualification before facing Kyrgyzstan in the final round.
