Khaberni - Senegal, the 2022 champion, secured the first ticket to the semi-finals of the thirty-fifth edition of the African Nations Cup in football, held in Morocco, with their victory over Mali 1-0 on Friday at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.
Everton striker Elimane Ndiaye (27) scored the goal of the match, which Mali finished with ten men after the dismissal of Yves Bissouma (45+3) for receiving a second yellow card.
Senegal will meet in the semi-finals next Wednesday in Tangier as well with the winner of the match between Egypt and Ivory Coast, who will play on Saturday at the Grand Stadium in Agadir.
