The competent prosecution in Giza Governorate, Egypt, is conducting its investigations into the complaint submitted by the artist Mona Hala, wherein she accused a vehicle driver of assaulting her verbally and causing her harassment, following a dispute that arose between them over the right of way while driving in the October Gardens area.
The detectives at the Giza Security Directorate resorted to checking surveillance cameras around the incident site, as part of their efforts to identify the owner of the car accused of assaulting the artist Mona Hala verbally, and causing her harassment within the October Gardens area, in addition to relying on the artist's statements who provided the car details, in preparation to inquire about it, and identifying the driver, to take the necessary legal actions against him, and confront him with the accusation attributed to him.
The artist Mona Hala mentioned that she was surprised while driving her car by another driver who narrowed the road in front of her, due to a dispute over the right of way, then directed verbal abuse at her, which prompted her to demand the incident be documented and to take the necessary legal action against him.
The artist Mona Hala filed an official complaint to Major Mostafa Arafa, head of the October Gardens Police Station investigations, accusing a person of assaulting her verbally while she was driving her car, due to a traffic dispute over the right of way.
She added that the accused deliberately harassed her during driving, demanding that the necessary legal actions be taken against him, where a report was filed concerning the incident, and investigations are underway to uncover its details, while the competent prosecution has been notified to begin the investigation.
