Khaberni - The Jordan Valley Authority announced the activation of an emergency situation during the weather depression affecting the kingdom on Friday.
The authority clarified in a statement that it had taken all necessary measures and preparations, activating emergency rooms, elevating the readiness of staff, machinery, and equipment in the Jordan Valley areas, the Control Directorate, and all its affiliated directorates, as well as dam sites across the kingdom.
The authority called on citizens, farmers, and livestock breeders to take all necessary precautions to protect property and lives, to stay away from watercourses, valleys, all water sites, and to follow developments of the weather condition.
The Jordan Valley Authority confirmed that its on-duty teams in all directorates of the authority in the Jordan Valley will work around the clock to take necessary actions and meet the needs of the citizens with the highest levels of response and to deal with developments of the weather condition, urging citizens to contact the North and Central Jordan Valley Water Resources Management on the number 0780469438, and the South Jordan Valley Water Resources Management on the number 0780022259, in emergency cases.
