Jordan Private Hospitals The decision to facilitate residency for foreigners supports medical tourism

Khaberni - Dr. Fawzi Hammouri, Chairman of the Private Hospitals Association, appreciated the announcement by Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya regarding the new measures aimed at facilitating the residency of foreigners in the Kingdom, which contribute to boosting the national economy and simplifying entry and residency procedures.

According to a statement from the association, Hammouri praised the decision to grant foreigners entering the Kingdom a temporary residency of three months instead of one month at the border centers, asserting that this step represents direct support for medical tourism in particular and tourism in general.

He explained that these measures help encourage incoming patients and tourists to come to the Kingdom and spend longer periods there, allowing them to complete their treatment and medical follow-up in Jordanian hospitals without administrative obstacles, thereby enhancing the patients' safety before their return to their home countries, and increasing Jordan's competitiveness as a leading destination for medical tourism in the region.

He mentioned that these measures came within the context of cooperation and communication between the Private Hospitals Association and the Ministry of the Interior, as part of the joint efforts aimed at overcoming the obstacles facing incoming patients and enhancing an attractive environment for medical tourism in Jordan, where the association submitted a request to the Minister of the Interior about this two months ago and the response was positive and swift, confirming the government's direction to enhance coordination with the private sector.

Interior Minister, Mazen Al-Faraya, announced new measures concerning the facilitation of residency for foreigners in the Kingdom, which contribute to enhancing the national economy.

Al-Faraya clarified that these measures include approving the grant of temporary residency for three months, instead of one month, to foreigners upon their entry through border centers, except for foreigners coming to the Kingdom through a work visa.
