Khaberni - The Ministry of Labor announced today, Thursday, the official launch of the "Labor Market Information System" after the end of the pilot launch period.
The ministry's spokesperson, Mohammad Al-Ziyoud, stated in today's announcement that the system represents a national strategic project spanning10 years, with the ministry committed to continually developing and updating its tools to keep pace with economic changes.
He explained that with the official launch after completing the pilot phase, which was dedicated to collecting user feedback, the system serves as a comprehensive reference providing a precise diagnosis of the market situation and supports evidence-based governmental decision-making and updated data to ensure alignment of supply with demand.
He also mentioned that the system is available in both Arabic and English on its website, providing the private sector with an opportunity to be a key partner in analyzing labor market needs and employment trends, benefiting from a database that includes various indicators classified according to international standards, which facilitates the foresight of future professions and jobs in the kingdom.
Al-Ziyoud pointed out that the system was completed with support from the International Labour Organization and the German Agency for International Cooperation, in partnership with the General Statistics Department, the Social Security Corporation, and the Ministries of Higher Education and Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, alongside the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Agency, Vocational Training Corporation, Development and Employment Fund, and data from specialized research centers such as the Jordanian Strategy Forum.
He noted that the ministry collaborates with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship to ensure the system operates with the highest cybersecurity standards and data protection through government servers.
