Officially Launch of the Labor Market Information System

Khaberni - The Ministry of Labor announced on Thursday the official launch of the "Labor Market Information System" after the end of the trial launch period.

Mohammad Al-Zyoud, the media spokesperson for the ministry, said that the system is a national strategic project spanning ten years, with the ministry committed to constantly developing and updating its tools to keep up with economic changes.

Al-Zyoud explained that the system was officially launched after completing the trial phase which was dedicated to monitoring user feedback, making the system a comprehensive reference that provides an accurate diagnosis of market reality, and supports the making of government decisions based on evidence and updated data; to ensure alignment of supply with demand.

He noted that the system is available in both Arabic and English on its website, where it provides the private sector an opportunity to be a key partner in analyzing labor market needs and employment files, benefiting from a database that includes diverse indicators classified according to international standards, which facilitates the foresight of future professions and jobs in the kingdom.

Al-Zyoud mentioned that this system was accomplished with support from the International Labour Organization and the German Agency for International Cooperation, and in partnership with the Department of Statistics, the Social Security Corporation, and ministries of Higher Education and Digital Economy, alongside the Accreditation Commission, Vocational Training Corporation, Development and Employment Fund, and data from specialized research centers such as the Jordan Strategy Forum.

He added that the ministry cooperates with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship; to ensure the system’s operation within the highest standards of cybersecurity and data protection across government servers.
