Khaberni - In its commitment to enhancing legal and professional awareness among its students and graduates, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan, in collaboration with the Graduate Follow-up Committee, hosted attorney Bashar Al Batoush, who delivered a specialized lecture titled «Labor Legal Issues Related to Work in the Pharmacy Sector», attended by the dean of the faculty, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Hasban, the Vice Dean Dr. Mohammad Al-Wahsh, and a number of members from both the teaching and administrative bodies, as well as graduating and soon-to-graduate students.
The seminar covered the most important legal issues that concern pharmacists in the workforce, focusing on professional rights and duties, and linking theoretical aspects with practical and judicial applications. The lecturer also reviewed a set of main themes, including employment contracts, wages and their complements, types of employment, provisions of social security, overtime work, leaves, termination of employment, and rights arising therefrom, statute of limitations on labor rights, and mechanisms for claiming rights before competent authorities, in addition to topics of training, experience, and pharmacist licensing.
The seminar concluded with an interactive dialogue and open discussion with the audience, during which there was an opportunity to ask questions and make inquiries, contributing to the enhancement of legal awareness among the students and graduates, and enabling them to enter the job market with confidence and solid legal knowledge.
