Khaberni - The College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan organized a field visit to the Hospitality House for the Elderly (White Family Association), with the participation of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Alaa Al-Hasban, the Vice Dean Dr. Mohammad Al-Wahsh, and several faculty members, in addition to a group of college students, aiming to enhance its humanitarian and social role and to instill the values of social solidarity and responsibility towards the elderly.
The visit aimed to provide psychological and social support to the residents of the house and to bring joy to their hearts through direct interaction and listening to their life experiences and stories, which contributes to enhancing their feelings of care and respect. The visit also included a series of purposeful activities, among which the most prominent was a communal breakfast with the residents, in addition to organizing interactive activities and games that created an atmosphere of familiarity and joy.
The organizers of the visit emphasized that these activities contribute to instilling the values of compassion, giving, and volunteer work among the students, and enhance their awareness of the importance of serving the elderly and standing by them. This activity reaffirms the commitment of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan to its role in serving the local community and its endeavor to prepare students who combine academic excellence with a sense of humanity and social responsibility.
