Important Decision by the Jordanian Interior Ministry to Facilitate the Residence of Foreigners in the Kingdom

Khaberni -  The Interior Minister Mazen Al-Faraya announced new measures regarding the facilitation of the residence of foreigners in the Kingdom, in a way that contributes to strengthening the national economy.
Al-Faraya explained that these measures include approving temporary residence for incoming foreigners to the Kingdom for three months instead of one month upon their entry through border centers, except for those coming through a work visa.
He emphasized that these measures would keep the current visa processes in place, allowing incoming foreigners to authenticate their temporary stay in their passports for three months directly at the border center, simplifying the procedures for their entry and stay in the Kingdom.
Al-Faraya stated that these measures are part of the efforts of the Ministry of Interior to enhance the national economy through stimulative decisions aimed at increasing the number of travelers coming to the Kingdom for various purposes.
He added that they also support the tourism and medical tourism sectors by encouraging tourists and patients to come to the Kingdom, spend longer periods, and receive treatment in Jordanian hospitals, which energizes the tourism movement and develops the tourism and health economy.
The Minister of Interior affirmed that these measures also aim to attract more investments to the Kingdom, by providing opportunities for potential investors to explore various investment opportunities and study them thoroughly, thereby increasing investment rates in the Kingdom.
It should be noted that before these measures were issued, a foreigner coming to the Kingdom was granted a temporary residence for one month at the border center. If they wished to continue their temporary stay in the Kingdom, they had to visit the nearest security center to extend their stay for two months. It is also noted that the new measures align with the provisions of the Residence and Foreign Affairs Law number (24) of 1973 and its amendments.
