Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate warned of the low-pressure system expected to affect the Kingdom starting from tomorrow, Friday, with expected rainfall that may occasionally be heavy in the north, central parts of the Kingdom, and the southwestern regions, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, according to the weather bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.
It confirmed the commitment to preventive guidelines and adopting proper behavior to reduce accidents of all kinds, urging the necessity to stay away from the edges of valleys, places of torrent formation, and low-lying areas, and to be cautious while driving on roads experiencing rainfall for fear of sliding and to stay away from water accumulations and not to risk crossing them on foot or by vehicles.
The Directorate also called for the necessity to follow safe behavior when using various types of heating and not to fuel them while they are lit and not to leave them on during sleep, as well as to ensure adequate ventilation of homes continuously, and to check and maintain rainwater drainage channels to prevent rising water levels and flooding of homes.
It emphasized the need to provide a water suction motor to avoid the accumulation of water in the lower floors of homes that are below the road level, in addition to securing objects that may be blown away due to high wind speed and strong gusts accompanying it.
It invited not to hesitate to call the unified emergency phone (911) in case of need.
