Queen Rania Al Abdullah and Princess Salma visit Wadi Rum

Khaberni - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and Her Royal Highness Princess Salma bint Abdullah II met yesterday, Wednesday, with a group of organizers of recreational and tourism activities in Wadi Rum, to highlight the tourist experience that visitors to Wadi Rum undergo.
Her Majesty exchanged talks with the attendees about the nature of the activities and the possible developments and updates in their work to serve tourism and visitors from inside and outside Jordan.
Her Majesty and Princess Salma began their tour in Wadi Rum with a short journey aboard the Great Arab Revolt train and listened to an overview about the work of the Jordanian Company for Heritage Revival by its CEO, Moayyad Abu Roman, who pointed out that the train journey represents a unique experience, where the visitor lives a journey through time back to 1916, echoing scenes from some events of the Great Arab Revolt.

Abu Roman said that the King Abdullah II Development Fund established the Jordanian Company for Heritage Revival in 2010 with the aim of developing the tourism sector in Jordan, and among the experiences offered by the company in Wadi Rum are visiting the train station, train riding adventures, stargazing, and four-wheel drive tours in the desert.
Her Majesty and Her Royal Highness used one of the four-wheel drive vehicles specially equipped for driving on sands to reach the tourist site of Wadi Rum and watched two people climbing one of the distinctive mountains of Rum.
Wadi Rum, located in southern Jordan, is one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites and one of the most beautiful places on Earth, characterized by its desert landscapes and the opportunity to experience the life of the local people in an enjoyable way, and many international films have been shot there.
