Khaberni - The Public Security Directorate has warned about the low pressure weather expected to affect the Kingdom starting from tomorrow, Friday, with expected rainfall that could sometimes be heavy in
the north and central parts of the Kingdom and the southwestern regions, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, according to weather bulletins issued by the relevant authorities.
It emphasizes the importance of adhering to preventive guidelines and adopting proper behavior to reduce the occurrence of various types of accidents as follows:
■ It is essential to stay away from the edges of valleys, places of flash flood formation, and low-lying areas.
■ Be cautious while driving on roads that experience rainfall to avoid skidding, stay away from water gatherings and do not risk crossing them by foot or by vehicles.
■ It is necessary to follow safe practices when using heating devices of different types, not to refuel them while they are ignited, not to leave them on while sleeping, and to ensure continuous ventilation in homes.
■ Inspect and maintain rainwater drainage channels to prevent water level rise and flooding into homes.
■ It is necessary to have a water pump available to prevent water accumulation in the lower floors of homes located below road level.
■ Secure objects that may be blown away due to the strong wind speeds and gusts associated with it
■ Do not hesitate to call the emergency hotline 911 if necessary.
