Khaberni - Middle East University celebrated the International Day of the Arabic Language under the theme: "Innovative pathways for Arabic... Policies and practices for a more inclusive linguistic future".
The event was sponsored by the university president, Professor Dr. Salam Al-Mahadin, and attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, Dr. Ayat Al-Maghribi, faculty and administrative members, and a group of students.
The event featured a poetry competition aimed at renewing connection with profound Arabic poetry and enhancing the poetic taste of the attendees.
The celebration highlighted the civilizational and cognitive status of the Arabic language, discussed ways to develop its presence in education, dedicated the role of technology in serving it, and enhanced the language policies supporting its global spread.
The celebration concluded with the honoring of the top students of the faculty for the academic year 2024/2025, along with the winners of the "University Quran Reciter" competition in its seventh season, as well as the organizers; in appreciation of their efforts to support Quranic and linguistic activities in the university.
