Khaberni- Sources in the Israeli army revealed that preparations to establish what is known as "New Gaza" will be completed in a few weeks, after the completion of debris removal and demolition in the Rafah area, north of the Gaza Strip.
This step is part of an American plan to relocate the residents of the Strip to the area designated for "New Gaza" in the second phase of the plan.
The sources stated that about 70% of the debris removal and demolition work has been completed so far, while Israel continues to implement the project, which was named "Green Rafah" by itself.
Meanwhile, political sources pointed to an escalation of American pressure to expedite the start of the second phase, considering that the completion of debris removal represents a pivotal step that might affect the decision-making process in Israel, at a time when the body of the Israeli prisoner Ran Jawili has not yet been returned to Israel.
