His Highness highlighted that sustaining goodness starts from a long-term temporal vision, with a profound impact, based on understanding the Waqf as a total ethical interest, especially in a world where interests conflict.
He clarified that the Waqf aligns with the supreme objectives, and at the top of them is the preservation of life after religion, explaining that preserving life is not limited to the mere preservation of life but includes human dignity and humanity and their ability to construct and actively participate in society.
His Highness confirmed that a deep insight into the quality of human life and its dignity is closely linked to the sustainability of goodness, particularly applicable to the development Waqf, and the positive impact it can achieve through its wise management and investment.
He added that reviving the strengths in the Waqf through an integrative charitable thought is linked to the self-development of the projects, contributing to the service of human dignity and the revival of true human values.
His Highness emphasized the importance of developmental orientation, distinguishing between the concepts of "development" and "belonging," pointing out that today's need is not only for development but also for enhancing belonging, especially in the face of the challenges faced by young nations, and what they have in terms of human energies and workforce that requires exploiting all opportunities and harnessing capabilities for their upliftment.
Prince Hassan explained that among the noblest of these opportunities is the enabling developmental Waqf, aimed at achieving genuine human prosperity through supporting one person's life by another, and opening the field for new ideas in collective giving, to achieve developmental goals within a sustainable charitable framework.
His Highness touched on the importance of taking into account multiple deprivation indicators, as a primary indicator in understanding the social reality and directing developmental policies.
For his part, the Minister of Awqaf expressed his appreciation for His Highness Prince Hassan bin Talal's visit, confirming his ongoing interest in the issues of Waqf and development and the human dimension associated with them, and their role in enhancing enlightened religious thought and serving the community.
