Khaberni - The General Director of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, Nisreen Qatamish, said on Wednesday that the foundation has received more than 225 patients from the Gaza Strip, the majority of whom are children, as part of the Medical Corridor initiative, pointing out that there are still 194 patients from the Gaza Strip receiving treatment at the center.
Qatamish added in statements to "Al-Mamlaka" channel that some adult cases from the latest batch have been received in Jordan for treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
She mentioned that the patients arrive in a poor and exhausted health condition due to the disease, malnutrition circumstances, and the overall situation in the Gaza Strip, where exceptional physical, health, and psychological cases are handled.
Qatamish noted that some patients had died before they could overcome cancer, while the treatment journey for others was successful, leading to their complete recovery from the disease.
