Khaberni - Emerging from the new vision of the current board of directors of the duty-free markets company, and within the framework of field monitoring and enhancing administrative presence in the field, Khulood Al-Saqaf, the Chairwoman of the Jordan Duty Free Markets Company, conducted an inspection visit today to the duty-free markets at the Jabir border crossing between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Syrian Arab Republic, accompanied by several department directors of the company, where they directly observed the workflow and all operational and commercial aspects of the market.
During the visit, Al-Saqaf monitored the level of procedures adopted to provide the best services to travelers and visitors and reviewed the readiness of facilities, service quality, and working mechanisms, alongside directing those concerned that the current board has a work strategy aimed at improving and developing the shopping experience and updating display methods to enhance operational performance in line with the best global practices applied in the duty-free market sector.
Al-Saqaf affirmed that the duty-free outlet at Jabir crossing is considered a strategic pivotal location within the company's network spread across land and sea crossings, due to its vital role in serving the movement of travelers and stimulating cross-border trade.
Al-Saqaf also emphasized the importance of developing the infrastructure of the duty-free markets and diversifying the product base offered there, to meet the needs of various tastes and nationalities, thereby enhancing the competitive capacity of the Jordanian duty-free markets regionally.
Al-Saqaf explained that the Jordan Duty Free Markets Company significantly contributes to supporting the national economy, and from this standpoint, it is essential to focus on their development and care, maintaining them, adding that focusing on this sector and developing it aligns with and fulfills the Royal directives to support vital economic sectors, aiming for sustainable development in Jordan.
