Khaberni - The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obaidullah Al-Muayta, visited the Jordanian Traffic Institute today, Wednesday, where he reviewed the most prominent efforts and programs implemented by the institute, aimed at enhancing and spreading traffic culture, and improving the level of safety on the roads, according to a comprehensive scientific approach based on the latest global traffic standards and practices.
During the visit, the Director of Public Security conveyed greetings and pride from His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, King Abdullah II, for the loyal and diligent efforts of the members of the Public Security Directorate in performing their security, humanitarian, and community duties.
Major General Al-Muayta confirmed that the Traffic Institute is a fundamental pillar in supporting and implementing the axes of the national traffic safety strategy, through its plans, programs, and scientific studies related to the traffic reality in the kingdom, contributing to spreading a culture of traffic awareness among road users.
He pointed out the importance of partnership and joint work between all traffic administrations and exchanging information to analyze the outputs of these studies according to the latest adopted standards to ensure their implementation on the ground, contributing to addressing traffic challenges and improving the level of road safety, in effective partnership with all relevant entities.
Major General Al-Muayta directed to continue developing the educational and training programs implemented by the institute, and to expand their scope to include schools, universities, and community institutions, using modern training methods and interactive activities that help instill safe traffic behavior concepts among community members.
The Director of Public Security mentioned the directorate’s commitment to providing logistical and technical support to the Traffic Institute, enabling it to perform its national mission and maintain its leading role as a specialized center in building a safe and integrated traffic system.
Major General Al-Muayta listened to a briefing presented by the director of the institute, which showcased the main axes of work and implemented programs, in addition to the specialized technical devices and systems used in training and awareness-raising, aimed at enhancing traffic security on the kingdom’s roads.
