The General Corporation for Food and Drug confirms that BEBA and SMA infant milk products in all their varieties are not registered or circulated in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and have not been imported to the local market, including: -
SMA alfamino, SMA first infant milk, SMA little steps first infant milk, SMA anti reflux, SMA lactose free, SMA comfort, SMA advanced follow-on

The Corporation clarified regarding the infant milk product NAN for children under one year in all its registered and circulated varieties in the local market, extensive samples were withdrawn from the market and laboratory testing showed they are safe and free from the aforementioned bacteria, except for batch number (50750346B) from (NAN optipro 1) milk which is being withdrawn and preserved precautionarily in coordination with the manufacturing company for further confirmatory tests to ensure its safety and the health and safety of consumers. Therefore, the Corporation urges citizens to stop using this batch of the product and return it to the place of purchase.
The Corporation confirmed that it continuously monitors any international updates or warnings related to the safety of food, drugs, and infant and child nutrition, and takes the necessary actions to ensure the health and safety of citizens, especially children.
