Lawyer Mohannad Abu Turab announced the dropping of the complaint filed by the Jordanian national team goalkeeper, Yazid Abu Layla, against him and all other defendants, the majority of whom constitute the fans of the Faisali Club, following his submission of an apology on their behalf to amicably end the case.
Abu Turab confirmed in a post on "Facebook": "The apology did not diminish the value of the fans but increased respect and appreciation, and he thanked everyone who sought to mend relationships."
Earlier, Abu Layla had filed an official complaint in the Irbid Court against about 35 fans, following posts on "Facebook" that included personal insults to him after the Jordanian national team's match against its Moroccan counterpart in the Arab Cup final, which ended with a loss for the "Nashama" with a score of 3-2.
At that time, the player confirmed that what he was subjected to exceeded the bounds of criticism to reach insults and contempt, which led him to take legal action, before the complaint was amicably dropped later on.
