Khaberni - Within the framework of Amman Arab University's commitment to empowering its students and preparing them for the job market, and enhancing their professional readiness in the fields of technology and digital transformation, the College of Information Technology, in cooperation with the Dean of Student Affairs, hosted an introductory session on the Career Accelerator Program. The program was presented by Injaz Foundation, attended by faculty and administrative members of the College of Information Technology and its students.
During the introductory session, both Mr. Mohammad Abu Shenab and Dr. Murad Awad from Injaz Foundation, reviewed the objectives of the Career Accelerator Program and its main aspects, emphasizing its importance in providing students the opportunity to engage in direct online training under the supervision of specialized trainers, which aims to qualify them to obtain internationally recognized certifications from Microsoft or Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a number of advanced technical tracks, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analysis, and software development. They also indicated that the program aims to empower a cadre of experienced training specialists in information technology and computer fields, and qualify them to become certified trainers, thereby enhancing national capabilities in technology and digital transformation fields.
The Career Accelerator Program is a national initiative for digital transformation and technical skills development, implemented by Injaz Foundation within the framework of the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) program under the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aiming to provide Jordanian youth with the necessary technical skills and internationally accredited certifications, which enhances their employment opportunities in the information technology sector locally and internationally.
The program relies on strategic partnerships with global technology companies, such as Microsoft and AWS, providing specialized direct training, supervision from experts in the field, in addition to opportunities for networking with potential employers in the information and communications technology sector.
Injaz Foundation's team also met with college students to inform them about the training and employment opportunities available within the program, alongside a meeting with faculty members, during which the registration mechanisms and how to join the program as certified trainers were reviewed.
In this regard, Dr. Rami Sawalha, Dean of the College of Information Technology, affirmed the college's commitment to implementing its strategy aimed at enhancing partnerships with national and international institutions, linking educational outcomes to the job market, and enabling students to acquire practical skills and professional certifications that contribute to enhancing their job readiness and meeting the requirements of the digital transformation.
