Khaberni - As part of the national efforts to establish a culture of digital innovation and enhance the role of young people in developing innovative technical solutions that contribute to improving the quality of government services provided to citizens, and supporting the journey of digital transformation in the Kingdom, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship held an introductory meeting at Amman Arab University to introduce the Crown Prince Award for Best Government Services Application. The meeting was organized jointly with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, in cooperation with the Faculty of Information Technology at the University, and attended by several faculty members and university students from various faculties and specializations.
The aim of the meeting was to highlight the importance of the award and its role in encouraging students and youth to innovate digital applications that contribute to the development of government services and improve the user experience, in addition to enhancing their technical skills and entrepreneurship, in line with national trends in digital transformation and the knowledge economy. The meeting included an introductory presentation about the award's axes, categories, participation conditions, and application mechanisms, with emphasis on the importance of employing modern technology such as artificial intelligence and smartphone applications, in innovating effective digital solutions that contribute to enhancing the efficiency of government services. The meeting also highlighted that the value of this year's prizes is significant and motivating, and that the competition field is broad and includes various sectors and government services.
The meeting also included an open discussion with the students, during which their questions and inquiries about the participation details and ways to develop their ideas into practical applications were addressed, affirming that the award represents an important opportunity for Jordanian youth to showcase their creative abilities and contribute to serving the community.
On this occasion, Dr. Samer Ayasrah, the director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, emphasized the continued support of Amman Arab University for such national initiatives and its commitment to empowering students and encouraging them to innovate and participate in local and regional competitions, in alignment with its mission to enhance entrepreneurship and creativity among its students. At the end of the meeting, the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship invited students of Amman Arab University to actively participate in the award and use their digital skills to develop applications that simplify government procedures and enhance the efficiency of services provided to citizens.
