Thursday 8 / 1/ 2026: Temporary rise in temperatures prevail and the weather is pleasant and mild during the noon and afternoon hours, before a radical and notable change in the weather on Friday.
Friday 9/1/2026: The kingdom will gradually be affected by a third-grade depression, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures, making the weather notably cold, and a cold air front passes through, with rain starting in the north of the kingdom, then extending to the central and later to the eastern regions and the highlands of the south of the kingdom including Karak and Tafila.
The rain will be heavy at times, possibly accompanied by thunder and lightning and hail, raising the risk of wadi flow and the formation of floods and rising water levels on many roads.
Friday night/Saturday: The kingdom continues to be affected by the depression at night with very cold, cloudy, and rainy weather in several areas, especially in the eastern and southern regions and the rain will be heavy intermittently, leading to the flow of valleys and streams and the formation of floods, and possibly soil and rock landslides.
Wind speeds will noticeably increase over the southern highlands, becoming very strong and accompanied by gusts that may reach or exceed 100 km/h, especially on the peaks of the Sharah mountains, while it will be active to strong in other areas.
Saturday 10/1/2026: The weather remains cold with the chance of scattered rain showers in some areas.
