Khaberni - In the context of the continuous journey of Amman Arab University towards academic leadership and technological innovation, the "Turbines" team, belonging to the Space and Electronics Community (AESS AAU) at Amman Arab University, achieved the tenth position at the national level of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025, organized by NASA with wide participation from innovators and programmers from various parts of Jordan, including a selection of distinguished university students from multiple colleges: Yazan Al-Saadi, Ahmad You, Youssef Abu Sihyon from the College of Aviation Sciences, along with Ahmad Al-Khawaja, Mahmoud Al-Khawaja, and Shahd Suweilam from the College of Information Technology.
This achievement came as a result of an innovative project focused on environmental sustainability, where the team presented an advanced technological solution for recycling non-organic waste, based on special and innovative engineering designs, in addition to integrating the project between the experiences of aviation sciences students in structural and mechanical aspects, and the skills of information technology students in programming and data analysis, to produce a practical model that contributes to reducing environmental pollution and protecting natural resources.
The administration of Amman Arab University expressed its pride in this qualitative achievement, which embodies the advanced level of efficiency of its students, their ability to work as one team, and the application of scientific knowledge and modern technology to address contemporary global issues, and confirmed that the qualification of the "Turbines" team among the top ten in a global challenge overseen by NASA reflects the quality of academic and training outputs adopted by the university, and proves the success of its vision in preparing students who possess competence, skill, and the ability to compete and excel in local and international forums.
This success is an important step in the journey of Amman Arab University students towards excellence and innovation, where they have proven their ability to provide quality solutions that keep pace with the rapid technological developments, align with the goals of sustainable development, and enhance the university's presence in global scientific and technological forums.
