Iran executes a man accused of spying for Israel

Khaberni - The "Mizan" agency, affiliated with the judiciary in Iran, reported today, Wednesday, that Tehran executed a man accused of spying for Israel. The agency identified the accused as Ali Ardastani.

In the midst of a covert war with Israel that has been ongoing for decades, Iran has executed many individuals accused of being linked to the Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad), and facilitating its operations in the country.

The agency stated, "The execution sentence issued against Ali Ardastani for spying on behalf of the Mossad was carried out, by providing the country with sensitive information, after the approval of the Supreme Court and following legal procedures."

There has been a notable increase in the executions of Iranians convicted of spying for Israel recently, following the direct confrontation between the regional rivals in June 2025, when Israeli and American forces carried out raids on Iranian nuclear facilities.
