Khaberni - The "Manchester Evening News" reported details of Darren Fletcher assuming the role of interim technical director for Manchester United, revealing that the former Scottish international directly sought advice from his mentor Alex Ferguson before taking on the task.
The newspaper mentioned that Fletcher made a call to the legendary coach, who is 84 years old, seeking advice before taking over the technical leadership at "Old Trafford" replacing the Portuguese Ruben Amorim.
The newspaper quoted Fletcher saying that he does not make any critical decisions without consulting Ferguson, who emphasized to him that the utmost priority is to do all it takes to serve the entity of Manchester United.
In terms of team management, the newspaper pointed out that Fletcher began his role by holding a series of individual meetings, starting with a discussion with the captain Bruno Fernandes, followed by special sessions with the newly joined duo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko, aimed at breaking the ice and understanding their technical needs.
