Khaberni - Apple is working on the iPhone 17e as a budget version of iPhone 17, and according to new leaks, the launch date might coincide with last year's iPhone 16e launch date.
The leaks, which were posted on the Chinese platform Weibo, reveal that the new iPhone 17e model will enter production shortly after the conclusion of this week’s consumer electronics expo – which will end on Friday.
It appears that Apple expects to start mass production of the iPhone 17e very soon, possibly within the next week or two, according to a report by "9to5Mac", a site specializing in technology news, which was seen by "Al Arabiya Business".
For a model like the iPhone 17e, which is not among Apple’s bestsellers, it's unclear how long the mass production might take; however, for flagship models that are released every fall, this process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks.
If the iPhone 17e follows the same timeline, starting production in mid-January could mean its launch at the end of February.
This would roughly coincide with last year’s launch of the iPhone 16e, which was shipped on February 28 after being announced earlier in the month.
Predictions indicate that the iPhone 17e will come with a 6.1-inch screen featuring the "Dynamic Island", and an "A19" chip.
It’s also expected that the phone will support "MagSafe" technology, and the "Center Stage" front camera feature found in the iPhone 17, in addition to slimmer bezels than the iPhone 16e.
