Bloody Toll of Violent Battles Between the Army and SDF in Aleppo

Khaberni - At least 7 people were killed including 6 civilians on Tuesday in the city of Aleppo, northern Syria, due to continuous clashes between government forces and SDF forces, who have accused each other of being responsible for the escalation.

Syrian reports indicated numerous casualties and injuries in an attack carried out by the SDF on Tuesday in the city of Aleppo, while clashes erupted near a Syrian army site.

Earlier, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) confirmed the death of 3 civilians, including two women, in a residential area in Aleppo, following an attack by the SDF.

Syrian sources from a military source reported the death of a soldier in the Syrian army and injuries to 4 due to being targeted by a drone operated by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Aleppo.

Later, the French Press Agency reported that the battles between the two sides left 7 dead, including six civilians.

The sources said that "clashes erupted near Al-Sheihan roundabout in Aleppo following an SDF attack on Syrian army positions."

In turn, a correspondent from the Syria Now platform confirmed that authorities closed the Aleppo/Gaziantep road at the Lermoon roundabout after the SDF targeted elements of the Syrian army on the Castillo route.

On the other hand, the Syrian Democratic Forces accused what they called "factions affiliated with the Damascus government" of targeting the densely populated area of Deir Hafer.

According to a statement from the SDF, "We hold these factions fully responsible for the repercussions of this dangerous escalation, and we affirm that our forces retain the right to respond to the attacks in defense of our people and to maintain the security and stability of our areas."

Continued Escalation
Yesterday Monday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that 3 soldiers were injured in a drone attack in the countryside of Aleppo province (north), executed by SDF, and vowed to respond.

The Syrian News Agency "SANA", quoting the ministry's Media and Communication Administration, reported that "As part of its ongoing escalation against army posts in various areas of the republic, SDF targeted a military police checkpoint near army deployment points in the vicinity of the town of Deir Hafer east of Aleppo."

It clarified that the targeting resulted in "3 soldiers injured and two vehicles damaged," confirming that the Syrian Arab Army will respond to this aggression in an appropriate manner, without giving more details.

Likewise, the Syrian news channel quoted a military source - unnamed - saying, "The Syrian Arab Army has begun targeting the launch sites of SDF-operated drones around Deir Hafer east of Aleppo, after determining the launch location of the drones."

Last Sunday, the news channel reported that meetings took place in the capital Damascus with representatives from SDF, attended by its leader Mazloum Abdi, to monitor the implementation of the March 10, 2025, agreement, noting that "it did not yield substantial results."

SDF continues to delay the implementation of the agreement terms signed by Syrian President Ahmad al-Shar` and the group’s leader, Ferhad Abdi Shahin known as "Mazloum Abdi."

The agreement includes the integration of civilian and military institutions in northeastern Syria into state administration, opening passages, airports, oil, and gas fields, and reinforcing the territorial integrity of the country.

The new Syrian administration, led by President al-Shar`, is making intensive efforts to secure the country and fully exert its control, since the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime, which lasted for 24 years, on December 8, 2024.
