Khaberni - His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Tuesday with the members of the Permanent Office of the Senate, which includes the Chairman of the Council, his deputies, and assistants.
His Majesty emphasized the importance of sustaining coordination between the Council and the government regarding national priorities and issues of concern to the citizens.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the region, including the situations in Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria.
In turn, the Chairman of the Senate, Faisal Al-Fayez, expressed the Council’s commitment to fulfilling its legislative and supervisory tasks and coordinating with the government to serve the citizens and national priorities.
Members of the Permanent Office of the Senate spoke about the council's role in monitoring the most important issues concerning local affairs and collaborating with the House of Representatives and the government to advance efforts in various modernization trajectories.
The members of the Permanent Office appreciated His Majesty’s commitment to monitoring the progress of work and holding regular meetings with the members of the Parliament.
Attending the meeting were the Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court, Youssef Hassan Al-Issawi, and the Director of His Majesty's Office, Alaa Al-Batayneh.
