Launch of a Project for Reengineering Procedures in Amman Municipality

Khaberni  - Greater Amman Municipality launched today, Tuesday, a project to reengineer the municipality's procedures, sponsored by the president of the Greater Amman Municipality committee, Dr. Youssef Shawarbeh,  and attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship for Administrative and Financial Affairs Engineer Samira Al-Zoubi, and representatives of the consulting firm, and the vice president of the Amman Municipality committee, Engineer Ziad Al-Rehani, and the city manager, Engineer Ahmad Al-Malkawi, along with several directors involved from the municipality and the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship. 

The project, executed by Amman Municipality in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, aligns with its plan on administrative updating, and continues the total digital transformation in its operations, aiming to improve performance efficiency, reduce costs and lessen the time of service delivery, and to provide integrated services focused on satisfying the recipients through the introduction of technological and artificial intelligence technologies. 

Shawarbeh said that Greater Amman Municipality is the first public sector institution to start the electronic transformation and implement electronic payment in its services, as per the royal directives to ensure the best services for the citizens. 

He emphasized that the municipality is committed to developing its digital system to reach a smart and advanced service model that meets the aspirations of the citizens and keeps up with the rapid technological changes.

Shawarbeh praised the efforts of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and its active partnership with Amman Municipality through plans and programs of digital transformation and development of electronic services, which contribute to improving the efficiency of the services provided and the speed of response to the citizens' needs.

In turn, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship for Financial and Administrative Affairs said that the ministry is striving through its programs and projects to improve and develop the procedures' engineering to enhance the level of services provided to citizens. 

She confirmed the ministry's readiness to support Amman Municipality through this joint project aimed at providing easy and facilitated services to citizens. 

Engineer Israa Hajawi, the executive director for institutional performance development and project manager at Amman Municipality, presented a general summary of the project followed by a presentation by Osama Al-Malahi, project manager at the Ministry of Digital Economy, which included a detailed review of the project and its goals
