Khaberni - The U-23 national football team meets its Vietnamese counterpart on Tuesday at 2:30 PM at the auxiliary stadium of King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, in the opening of the Group A competitions of the Asian Cup.
The team conducted its training session on Monday at Jeddah Club Stadium, under the leadership of coach Omar Najeh, where the training focused on certain technical aspects.
During the press conference for the match, coach Najeh emphasized the importance of a strong start in the tournament and securing the three points.
He said: "We enter the first match in the finals with high readiness, and the players are excited for the encounter, and we hope to deliver a distinguished performance to secure the three points which will give us a strong boost throughout the tournament."
In contrast, player Amin Al-Shennayen underscored the significance of the opening match, pointing out that the team enters the match with a winning mindset, and we will exert our utmost effort and focus to secure the three points and delight our fans.
According to the tournament's system, the 16 participating teams have been divided into four groups, each consisting of four teams, competing in a single-round round-robin format, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.
