Khaberni - The opening ceremony of the 2026 World Cup tour, which was held on Monday evening at Cairo International Stadium, witnessed a notable incident that caused widespread interaction on social media, after artist Mohamed Ramadan paused the concert for a few minutes to change his shoes on stage in front of the audience.
During the concert, Mohamed Ramadan noticed his discomfort with the shoes he was wearing, speaking to his team via the microphone, saying: "Where is my special Nike shoe? It seems the stylist made a mistake and gave me his sister’s shoe, I am sorry but the heel is high and it is bothering me."
Immediately, a girl from his team ascended the stage and helped him change his shoes and tie them, in addition to removing his jacket in front of the attendees.
This prompted Ramadan to acknowledge her help, as he praised her and kissed her forehead as a gesture of appreciation for her swift intervention, a scene that received widespread distribution and varied reactions across social media platforms.
The concert marks a strong return for Mohamed Ramadan to performing at public concerts in Cairo after a long absence, where he offered a grand show that included his appearance on stage with the original World Cup, as part of the promotional tour activities for the 2026 World Cup, scheduled to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
