Khaberni - The Meteorological Department expects that the Kingdom will be gradually affected on Friday by a cold and humid air depression centered north of Cyprus Island, where a noticeable decrease in temperatures occurs, and the weather becomes cold and partly cloudy, turning to cloudy, with rain starting in the north of the Kingdom and later extending to most areas.
In the evening hours, the accompanying cold front crosses, intensifying the rainfall which can be heavy at times in the north and center of the Kingdom and the southwestern parts, in addition to the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, possibly accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to the formation of floods in valleys and low areas and rising water levels.
Initial analyses during the night and early Saturday indicate the possibility of light intermittent snow showers on the high peaks of the Sharah Mountains.
The west to northwest winds also become active and are occasionally accompanied by strong gusts.
Friday Warnings:
High risk of flood formation in valleys and low areas in the north and center of the Kingdom and the southwestern regions including the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.
Risk of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog, low clouds, and intense rainfall.
Advice:
Be cautious of slipping on wet roads.
Do not risk crossing areas of rainwater accumulation and flood channels.
