Kuwait Commercial Drawings A Complete Crime

Khaberni - The Kuwaiti Public Prosecution affirmed that what occurred in the case of commercial drawings, involving 73 individuals, is not an individual error but an organized crime and corruption and a breach of trust through a network deliberately manipulating the outcomes of a number of commercial drawings and damaging the fairness of their procedures.

The Public Prosecution pointed out during its plea today (Monday), before the Criminal Court, that there are defendants who exploited public office and weaknesses in oversight, aiming to achieve illicit financial gains and sharing them among their members.

The prosecution noted that the crime became clear and denial and pretext are futile, at the same time demanding the application of legal penalties against the accused.

Referring to the public prosecution's statement dated October 28, 2025, related to case number 947 of the year 2025 Capital’s exclusive jurisdiction, and registered under number 144 for the year 2025 Capital Money Laundering, related to incidents of manipulation in the drawings supervised by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and what resulted in referring the accused to criminal trial; the Public Prosecution reports that, in exercising its constitutional and legal jurisdiction in conducting investigations and taking decisions, and following up on the procedures taken in the aforementioned case after the completion of investigations, pleaded today (Monday), dated January 5, 2026, before the competent Criminal Court concerning the facts of the case.

The plea was conducted by a member from the investigation team of the case, Prosecutor Omar Abdullah Al-OtaibiProsecutor of the Capital and Combating Human Trafficking and Migrant Smugglingwhere he presented before the court what the investigations concluded to be severe incidents, and what was established in the case files of evidence, revealing an organized criminal scheme aimed at undermining the integrity of the drawings and turning them from a mechanism based on equal opportunity into a means for fraud and achieving personal benefits illicitly.

A complete crime

 

The Public Prosecution clarified during the plea that the incident does not limit to a transient error or individual action, but represents a complete crime, where evil intentions converged, criminal roles were integrated, and public office was exploited significantly, leading to undermining public trust and the values underlying the legal system. It also clarified that the sequence of events as reported in the investigations revealed a systematic deviation in managing the drawings, whereby the procedures were manipulated and directed in a manner that compromised their natural impartiality, resulting in outcomes that do not reflect the truth and achieving illicit benefits, explicitly undermining the integrity required by these procedures, and completely disregarding the rights of participants and violating the principle of equal opportunity among them.

 

The prosecution concluded its plea by requesting the imposition of the maximum penalties prescribed by law against the accused.

 

The Public Prosecution reaffirmed its commitment to continue its noble mission in protecting society and upholding the criminal case, establishing the values of job integrity, and relentlessly combating all forms of crime, in accordance with the legal frameworks set forth, guided by the safeguards provided by the law.
