The smell of kerosene stoves disrupts female students in Zarqas Tawjihi

Khaberni - A complaint from one of the parents reached the "Khaberni" site, stating that female students suffered suffocation inside a general secondary examination hall (supplementary session) during the Mathematics exam, second paper.

According to the complaint, the complainant's daughter, born in 2007, entered the examination room at Um Shareek Ansari School in Al-Hashmia area, Zarqa, where the room was equipped with two kerosene stoves, causing a pervasive smell of stifling smoke throughout.

The complainant explained that the students, including his daughter, asked the two invigilators present in the room to turn off the stoves, but this request was denied and the exam commenced despite complaints about the smell.

He mentioned that the students tried to open the windows to alleviate the smoke, but the invigilator closed them. He pointed out that his daughter experienced dizziness and difficulty breathing in the room and was unable to perform well in the exam.

The complainant added that his daughter informed the invigilator during the exam about her condition along with similar complaints from other students; however, the invigilator did not respond. He affirmed that his daughter is still suffering from breathing difficulties and severe headache, expressing his concern about how this might affect her performance in the exam due to what occurred.
