Khaberni - Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela detained by the United States on a Saturday, has always been a lover of the Spanish club Barcelona and its Argentine star Lionel Messi, who "made" the detained leader cry currently in New York after leaving his home club in the summer of 2021. He also forgot about the economic reforms in an official speech to celebrate the accomplishment of "the Flea".
The American special elite forces detained the Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores on January 3rd at their home in Caracas, and he was presented for trial in New York on Monday on several charges including sending drugs to the United States.
Apart from his political side, Maduro was passionate about football, being a close friend of the late legend Diego Maradona who described him as "friend of the revolution," in addition to supporting the Spanish club Barcelona.
Maduro revealed that he cried when he saw the legend Lionel Messi crying after moving from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in August 2021, saying in a televised speech: What Barcelona's management did to Messi was ugly, I cried when I saw his tears flowing. I really cried because he is a good, honest young man and a great sports icon.
The Venezuelan leader did not stop there but went on to attack Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona, saying: He exploited Messi to earn as much money as possible.. then kicked him away. If he did that to Lionel, it means he would do worse to anyone else.
In a meeting in front of his government ministers to discuss the problems affecting the country, Maduro received news that Messi scored his 300th goal for Barcelona in the Spanish football league leading the conversation away from economic measures and currency reform, switching to Messi and his achievements before shouting: Long live Messi.. Long live Catalonia !.
Then Maduro forgot about what was happening in Venezuela and began asking his ministers and the generals present at the meeting: Who of you supports Barcelona and who supports Real Madrid?.
While the world was anxious about the emerging coronavirus "COVID-19" outbreak, Nicolas appeared wearing Barcelona's training outfit and said: I have signed a contract with Barcelona, I will play as a substitute!
