Khaberni Media reports confirmed that Barcelona has reached a final agreement to contract the Portuguese Joao Cancelo on a loan basis until June (June) next.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that in a deal reflecting the Catalan club's desire to bolster its defensive options during the second half of the season, it successfully agreed on an important deal after intensive negotiations, which was concluded in record time, thus securing the win for Barcelona despite serious interest from other clubs.
He explained: "Barcelona will pay 4 million euros to Saudi club Al Hilal as a loan coverage fee, in a step that settled all financial details between the parties".
He added: "Al Hilal had previously reached an understanding with Inter Milan, but the player's desire played a decisive role in the course of the deal, as Cancelo insisted on moving to Barcelona rather than any other team".
He continued: "Cancelo's choice of Barcelona was primarily motivated by the team's project and style of play, which he believes suits him and gives him the opportunity to regain his shine at the highest European levels".
It is expected that he will make an immediate addition to the team due to his vast experience and ability to play in various positions on both the right and left flanks.
