Jordan Stable weather until Thursday and a noticeable drop on Friday

Khaberni - On Tuesday, there will be a slight increase in temperatures, with the weather being relatively cold in most areas and mild in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with the appearance of clouds at high altitudes, and the winds will be moderate southeast.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in East Amman today range between 15 - 8 degrees Celsius, in West Amman 13 - 6, in the northern highlands 12 - 7, in the Sharah highlands 16 - 6, in the desert areas 19 - 6, in the plains areas 17 - 8, in the northern Jordan Valley 23 - 11, in the southern Jordan Valley 26 - 16, at the Dead Sea 25 - 15, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 26 - 15 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department report, temperatures will continue to rise on Wednesday and Thursday, and the weather will be relatively cold over the high mountainous highlands, mild in the desert and plains, while being relatively warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with the appearance of some clouds at high altitudes, and the winds will be moderate southeast.

On Friday, the kingdom will gradually be affected by a cold and moist air mass accompanied by a low-pressure system centered north of the island of Cyprus, thus a noticeable decline in temperatures will occur, and the weather will be cold and partly cloudy turning to cloudy, and rains will fall in the north of the kingdom, later extending to most areas of the kingdom, and in the evening hours the cold front accompanying the low-pressure system will pass where rainfall will intensify, and become heavy in the north and center of the kingdom and the southwestern parts, in addition to the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea, sometimes accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to the formation of floods in valleys and low areas, and rising water levels.

The initial analyses in the late hours of the night and dawn on Saturday for a short period indicate the possibility of intermittent snow showers on the high peaks of the Sharah mountains, and the winds will be westerly to northwesterly active in speed with strong gusts at intervals.
